Overseeing all aspects of client service delivery, including preparation of year-end accounts, management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT, etc and value-added services assignments;
Preparing working papers, annual accounts and tax returns for sole traders and owner managed SMEs.
Overseeing the preparation of statutory accounts for SME clients;
Overseeing the production of corporation tax returns;
Liaising with clients on accounts and tax issues as required;
Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients.
Delegation of duties and support to junior team member support business planning.
The Person
ACA/ACCA level qualified or qualified by experience within a general public practice setting.
Previous experience of working in an accountancy practice would be a distinct advantage.
Familiarity with various computer and accounting software such as QuickBooks and Xero.
Up to date tax and financial regulations.
Good communicator with excellent problem-solving skills and a good attention to detail
Experience of payroll processing would be desirable but not essential.
3 years of experience working within an accountancy firm, preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
